The plant was capable to generate surplus power but could not evacuate it, even though PPA was signed with Paschimanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited (PVVNL), as the transmission line for power evacuation was not ready. Now, the transmission line has been completed and the company has started exporting 26 MW surplus power with effect from April 2012.
